Tenth Connection: NO, don't even think about it.

All things NO- brings me to my treasured copy of The Found Object News: FOOD LAWS, a photocopied artists’ publication by Elizabeth Shreve. I’m not sure of the date of this photocopied booklet with a tape over staple binding, pre- 1990 I think. The directness of Elizabeth’s drawings and the blunt way the text is presented comes from the aesthetics of a pre digital world. Just an artist, her drawings, some press type and a photocopier. The dark humor – referencing drawings for children and a text that could come from anyone’s inner parent- makes me laugh every time.
