Thirty-sixth Connection: Extreme Seasonal Transformation
So far winter here has shown us but a little of its range of extreme seasonal transformation. Still, I prefer to welcome its relative dark and cold, as it is the only path to the delights of spring. Here is a detail of my drawing, Goodbye Old Year ©1999, which features an elongated figure 8 shape with the months of the year. Extending from each month are goodbye phrases, written in cursive with pen and ink.
Some samples:
Goodbye to your moonlight in a rectangle on the floor through the high moon window.
Goodbye to your shortest day.
Goodbye to letters we sent and to those we thought about sending.
