Forty-third Connection: more about IF
The question When will you know? repeats down one side of this page in my artists book IF-Universal Questions ©1995. I’ve asked and answered this question - as I’m sure you have- many times in the course of many ordinary days: coordinating times, events. Its part of the sequence we go through to narrow the gap between what we know and what we don’t know. If you don’t know- when will you know- is a way of making some headway into the unknown. With this text I was thinking about the juxtaposition of contexts between the everyday: When will you know?, and the existential questions of life and death: When will you know?
The text ( rubber stamped onto gessoed photocopied pages of Golden Press Facts and Figures circa early1960s) in this book includes other Universal questions: Who are you? Where are you going? What do you want?
